HEAD COACH AND GENERAL MANAGER - PAUL DYCK

A two-time MJHL Coach of the Year and finalist for 2017 CJHL Coach of the Year, Paul has been involved with the Steinbach Pistons as he served Assistant Coach beginning in 2010. He was promoted to Interim Head Coach/GM in December 2011 and was named the second Head Coach/GM in franchise history in the summer of 2012.

Under Paul’s leadership, the Pistons have posted a 475-162-43 record. They have captured three Turnbull Cup championships in 2013, 2018, 2023, have played in 7 of the last 10 league finals, won the 2018 ANAVET CUP, and advanced to the 2018 RBC Cup in Chilliwack, B.C. as well as in Portage La Prairie in 2023. The Pistons have seen 31 NCAA Division I commitments under his guidance and have seen over 100 former players move onto a higher level of hockey over the past few years including 2 NHL draft picks with goaltender Matthew Thiessen in 2018 and defenseman Warren Clark in 2023.

Paul has also coached on the national stage, serving as a guest coach and evaluator for Team Canada West from 2013-15, 2016-17, and 2019. He won a gold medal as an Assistant Coach with TCW at the 2015 World Junior A Challenge. In addition, he was the Head Coach for Team West at the 2015 CJHL Top Prospects Game. Paul holds the MJHL record for the fastest coach to win 250 career games, doing so in just 376 games.

Paul was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1991 NHL Draft, and spent the next 15 years playing pro hockey across the globe. He won an IHL title with the Houston Aeros in 1999, and won a DEL championship in Germany with the Krefeld Penguine to advance to the Spengler Cup in 2003. He was inducted into the Moose Jaw Warriors HOF in 2022.

Paul and his wife Candice have 3 children and reside in Steinbach.

ASSISTANT COACH - CALVIN BUGYIK

Calvin joined the Steinbach Pistons as Assistant Coach in the summer of 2018 after a decorated coaching tenure in Manitoba U-18 hockey. He played two years of junior ‘A’ hockey as a goaltender with the SJHL’s Melfort Mustangs from 1999-2001.

With Calvin on staff, the Pistons have been MJHL Finalists twice and most recently Turnbull Cup Champions in 2023.

Along with working on the farm, Calvin has coached hockey in various levels across the province in the past decade. He was the assistant and head coach of the Hockey Manitoba Directors Cup Prospects team, and held the same roles the Eastman City Selects of the Winnipeg City U-17 Prep League.

From there, he was the head coach of the Eastman Selects of the Manitoba AAA U-18 Hockey League from 2013-16 and guided them to a sparkling 93-28-11 record during that span. And during 2016-18, he was the assistant coach of the Winnipeg Wild and helped guide them to two Manitoba U-18 titles.

VIDEO COACH - GRAHAM POLLOCK

Graham is currently the longest serving member of the Steinbach Pistons’ coaching staff, spending time with the club from 2009 to 2011, and 2012 to present day. He has coached many different levels of hockey over the past 40 years, many of which came while also serving as a member of the RCMP for 38 years.

When he’s not at the rink, Graham (or simply G as we call him), he spend his time chasing his grandkids around, or relaxing at home with his dogs by the pool. Graham currently serves as on the Steinbach and Area Animal Rescue board of directors and serves as Festival Chair on the Summer in the City board.

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT COACH - J.P. VIGIER

JP Vigier brought aboard as Skills Development Coach in July 2019. He has a notable hockey resume to his starting with a collegiate career from 1996-2000 at NCAA Div I Northern Michigan University where he accumulated 61 goals and 125 points in 161 career games.

He turned pro in 2000 and had a 12 year playing career which included 214 games in the NHL with the Atlanta Thrashers and five seasons playing in Switzerland. He represented Canada at the Spenglar Cup on 5 occasion winning the tournament in 2008. JP also won an IHL title with the Orlando Solar Bears in 2001 and AHL’S Calder Cup with the Chicago Wolves in 2002.

Vigier returned to Manitoba after his playing career and currently runs Vigier Hockey, a year-round skills development program out of Winnipeg. JP has a very good understanding of what young players need to do and how to prepare for the next level.

ATHLETIC TRAINER - JEFF EIDSE

Jeff has been with the Pistons since the 2016-17 season as Head Trainer. Prior to joining the organization, he worked with the Eastman Selects program for 6 years in various strength and conditioning positions for all of their teams.

In addition to being with the Pistons, Jeff currently owns and operates Sweaty Training and Conditioning; the only semi-private, high performance training centre in Southeastern Manitoba.

DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS - KEVIN GEISHEIMER

Kevin’s passion for community and sports is evident in his career trajectory, marked by key contributions in marketing and operations. His involvement with the Steinbach Pistons began in 2009 when he covered news and play-by-play through local media. In 2014, Kevin took on the team's first full-time marketing and sales role, setting the stage for further success. His career progressed to HyLife in 2018, where he became the Director of Marketing and Communications for Canada's largest Premium Pork Producer.

Now, as the Steinbach Pistons enter a new era with the Southeast Events Centre, Kevin brings his experience and community-driven approach to his role as the Director of Operations. His vision is to elevate the team to new heights within the region and beyond, uniting the community through one of Canada’s most cherished pastimes—hockey.

Outside of work, Kevin is a family man, married with three children. He stays active through cycling, gravel riding, and mountain biking and enjoys cheering on his favourite teams, the Winnipeg Jets and Tampa Buccaneers. Kevin and his family love exploring the great outdoors, spending quality time camping throughout Manitoba and beyond.

DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING - JAMIE ROY

Jamie joined the Pistons as Director of Sales and Marketing at the beginning of May 2020. Prior to joining the staff, he was very involved with the club's game day operations team, serving as the public address announcer since 2016. Previously, he spent two years on the air with Golden West Radio connecting with various people and businesses around Southeast Manitoba.

Outside of the rink, you can often find Jamie at the golf course in the summer months.  Jamie captured the 2019 Manitoba Rural Amateur Championship and is back to back club champion of Quarry Oaks Golf Course in 2021 & 2022.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT/EDUCATION ADVISOR - LOUIS COTE

Louis has been with the team since the 2014-15 season providing support to players in a variety of ways. Personal development is one of the objectives of the Pistons and Louis works with the players to develop positive habits and mental skills that allow for success both on and off the ice for the current season and their future. He also plays a role in ensuring the players are in High School/University courses that align with their personal goals, as well as ensure NCAA/Usport eligibility upon completion of their career with the Pistons.
Louis is the owner/lead consultant of Infinite Athlete Development and currently works with many other professional and amateur athletes/teams using the same platform as he does with the Pistons.

TEAM CHAPLAIN - MIKE KEHLER

Mike has been involved with the Pistons since day one as their team chaplain. He currently works with Youth for Christ in Steinbach as well as FCA Huddles, forming relationships with hockey players from all across southern Manitoba.

He also coordinates many different volunteer opportunities for Pistons players to participate in.
